Role Summary

The Private Equity Intern will support the investment team in deal sourcing, due diligence, financial modeling, and market research. This role is ideal for a highly motivated student with strong analytical, quantitative, and research skills who wants to gain real-world experience in private equity and investment analysis.

Responsibilities (How You’ll Deliver)

  • Assist in developing and improving internal software tools used for deal sourcing, data Conduct industry and company research to identify potential investment opportunities.

  • Assist in financial modeling, valuation analysis, and performance forecasting for portfolio and target companies.

  • Support in preparing investment memos, pitch decks, and due diligence reports.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and sector dynamics relevant to DAC’s investment focus.

  • Collaborate with team members to evaluate deal flow and contribute to investment strategy discussions.

  • Participate in virtual team meetings, investor calls, and learning workshops.

  • Maintain and update deal tracking databases and performance metrics.

  • Interns will work remotely and collaborate with DAC’s global team through structured weekly meetings, mentorship sessions, and independent research assignments.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.

  • Excellent research, writing, and presentation abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects remotely.

  • Demonstrated interest in private equity, venture capital, or investment banking.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in virtual environments.
