Role Summary
The Origination Intern will play a key role in supporting Dark Alpha Capital’s investment origination team in sourcing, analyzing, and evaluating potential investment opportunities. This role provides hands-on exposure to deal origination, market research, and financial analysis within a dynamic investment environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, and eager to learn the end-to-end investment process.

Responsibilities (How You’ll Deliver)
Assist in identifying and sourcing potential investment opportunities across targeted industries and markets.
Conduct market mapping and industry research to support origination strategies and pipeline development.
Evaluate investment opportunities by gathering data, analyzing company profiles, and assessing market positioning.
Support the origination team in preparing pitch materials, investment memos, and presentations for internal review.
Monitor industry trends, M&A activity, and competitive landscapes to identify potential leads.
Maintain and update the firm’s CRM and deal pipeline with accurate and up-to-date information.
Participate in team meetings, strategy discussions, and due diligence sessions.
Assist in relationship management efforts with founders, intermediaries, and other stakeholders.
Must-Have Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
Understanding of financial statements, valuation concepts, and investment fundamentals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Previous internship experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, or venture capital is an advantage.
