About Dark Alpha Capital
Dark Alpha Capital is an independent sponsor focused on lower-middle-market acquisitions across Industrials, Industrial Services, Business Services, Healthcare, Aerospace & Defense, and Information Technology. We originate proprietary opportunities, underwrite with discipline, and close with speed—partnering with operators and investors to create durable value.
Role Summary
As an Origination Analyst (BDR), you’ll build the top of funnel for proprietary deal flow—researching ICP targets, running multi-channel cadences (Smartlead + Apollo + LinkedIn + phone), qualifying owners/intermediaries, and booking high-intent meetings for the Origination Lead. You’ll convert conversations into NDAs and CIMs through crisp follow-through, clean CRM, and fast handoffs, directly supporting the team’s path to LOIs and closed transactions.
Core Responsibilities (8)
Build and maintain ICP target lists by niche/MSA/ownership; score, prioritize, and de-dupe.
Run multi-channel cadences (email/phone/LI via Smartlead/Apollo); test and iterate copy, CTAs, openers.
Qualify fit/size/timing/intent; book and confirm meetings for the Origination Lead.
Keep 100% CRM hygiene: stages/tags/notes/next steps within 24h.
Drive document flow: coordinate NDAs, request CIMs, and hand off cleanly with context.
Report weekly funnel metrics (touch → reply → meeting → qualified → NDA → CIM → LOI → close).
Monitor market/broker feeds and escalate time-sensitive opportunities.
Uphold DNC/CAN-SPAM/privacy and escalate any potential MNPI immediately.
Qualifications
Must-Haves (BDR/SDR-forward):
1–3+ years in BDR/SDR, outbound recruiting, agency sourcing, or GE/VC platform/outreach roles with daily prospecting targets.
Demonstrated prospecting discipline: runs multi-channel cadences, books meetings consistently, iterates messaging.
Clean CRM habits: logs notes/next steps within 24h; manages stages/tags; lives by the funnel.
Strong owner-facing writing and phone presence; confident objection handling.
Research fluency (builds ICP lists, finds contacts, enriches data, routes to decision makers).
Metrics mindset: manages weekly touch → reply → meeting → qualified conversion and improves it via experiments.
Nice-to-Haves:
Background from SaaS BDR/SDR, executive search/recruiting, GE/VC platform (sourcing, founder outreach), search funds, or portfolio company GTM.
Familiarity with Industrials, Industrial Services, Business Services, Healthcare, A&D, or IT.
A/B testing experience (subject lines, CTAs, call openers) with documented lift.
Light reporting chops (dashboards/weekly readouts).
Tools / Stack (CRM-agnostic; weekly use)

Working Model & Compliance
Remote (Eastern hours), Travel 0%; reliable internet and call setup required.
Security & data: two-factor on all systems; store files only in approved Google Drive locations; follow naming/permissions conventions.
MNPI/Confidentiality: never solicit, accept, or share MNPI; escalate anything sensitive immediately.
