About Dark Alpha Capital

Dark Alpha Capital is currently operating as a proprietary trading firm, deploying the Managing Partner’s capital across systematic, quantitative, and event-driven strategies. Our immediate objective is to build a multi-year, independently audited track record that demonstrates durability, repeatability, and strong risk-adjusted performance.

Once our approach is proven, we plan to raise outside capital and scale into a fully structured hedge fund. Analysts joining at this stage will help construct the research foundation that supports our future fund platform and PM pods.

Role Overview

Analysts support Portfolio Managers by conducting research, building models, handling data analysis, identifying investment opportunities, and helping refine strategy design. You will work closely with PMs, quants, and traders in a pod-based structure and contribute directly to strategy development and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct fundamental, quantitative, and event-driven research.

Build financial models, statistical screens, and opportunity filters.

Analyze data to help identify and validate trading signals.

Support PMs with strategy development, monitoring, and performance tracking.

Prepare reports, presentations, and exposure/risk summaries for investment decisions.

Assist with research documentation and pod communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.

Strong analytical, modeling, and data-analysis skills.

Understanding of equities, derivatives, futures, or OTC markets.

Ability to work collaboratively within a pod-based team structure.

2+ years of experience in trading, research, investment analysis, or related fields.

High attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-moving environment.
